Whericar — privacy policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Wersja polska

Whericar does not collect, transmit or share any of your data. This is not a policy the app tries to honour — it is a property of how the app is built.

The app cannot send anything anywhere

Its Android manifest does not request the INTERNET permission. Without it the operating system refuses every attempt to open a network connection, so no data can leave your device even if the app had a bug that tried. There is no server, no account, no sign-in and no analytics.

What the app stores, and where

Parking locations, notes, rental car details and photographs are written to private storage on your device, readable only by this app. Photographs are never added to your gallery and no other app is told about them.

Location

The app reads your location only while you are using it, and only to record where you parked and how far you are from it now. It never asks for background location, and it never transmits a position.

Camera

Photographs are taken only when you choose to take one, and stay on the device.

Sharing is always yours to start

When you share a parking spot, or export your data to a file, the app hands it to whichever app you pick and to nobody else. Where the shared message or exported file goes after that is determined by the app or service you chose, not by Whericar.

Deleting your data

Delete individual entries in the app. Uninstalling removes everything the app stored, permanently — there is no copy anywhere else, because there was never anywhere else.

Children

The app is a driving tool and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes it will be because the app changed; the date above will change with it.
